Adopted Antelope Creek
After becoming a recognized student organization on campus in 2011 one of the first projects that Sustain UNL did was adopt the Antelope Valley Creek. Members have enjoyed going out and making sure their community is kept clean. For the past eight years Sustain UNL has dedicated a day for members to go clean the creek every semester.

Oceana Campaign
On September of 2012, Sustain UNL and co-sponsor Oceana brought a whale and fifty wind turbines to campus. The Oceana Campaign aimed to collect photo petitions in favor of renewable energy. Seeing a giant inflatable breath in the middle of the Meier Commons caught the attention of many students. Sustain UNL was able to collect over 200 signatures breaking the previous record from the University of North Carolina.

Recycling at Memorial Stadium
Starting in 2014 the University of Nebraska- Lincoln placed policies that improved recycling efforts at Memorial Stadium. Sustain UNL was one of the student organizations promoting better recycling measures. Sustain members would pick up bottles and other recyclables after Husker football games. After hard work their dedication paid off once the university noticed and began taking action.

Annual Sustainability Kickoff
2017 was the first year Sustain UNL hosted a Sustainability Kickoff and it has been happening ever since. The kickoff features multiple sustainability oriented organizations on campus. The purpose of this event is to show students the different ways to become involved in sustainable focused organizations on campus and how to be more sustainable at the university.

Our Climate's #PutAPriceOnIt Campaign
In 2017 Sustain UNL launched the Put A Price On It Campaign at the University of Nebraska- Lincoln. Students have been actively working on educating others about carbon pricing and seeking endorsements from faculty at the university. They have lobbied for a carbon tax at the Nebraska State Capitol and at the United States Capitol.
